December 1: Advent Wreath Making (9:45 AM – 10:20 AM)
The new church year begins in December with the first Sunday in Advent. Families are invited to make Advent wreaths in the Parish Hall. This will take the place of Godly Play and Sunday School on this day. Wreath forms will be provided. Please bring your own greenery.
December 1 – 30: A Very Delta Christmas at The Alluvian
Indulge in Holiday Cheer and celebrate the season The Alluvian way! This holiday package includes overnight accommodations, Southern breakfast, a $50 spa credit and discount coupons to a variety of our local shops on historic Howard Street. December 1 – 30: Champagne Holiday at The Alluvian
Looking to make your holiday season extra special? Look no further than our Champagne Holiday package! Treat yourself to a one-night stay, a full Southern breakfast, in-room champagne with souvenir glasses and a trip to our spa for two 50-minute Gold Relaxation CBD Massages. This treatment will leave your skin healthy and radiant, while relieving muscle discomfort and reducing aches and pains, leaving your skin replenished for the holiday season. December 5: “World Within a World: All the Small Things” Opening Reception (5 PM – 7:30 PM)
Artist Lee Harper will exhibit her miniatures of iconic buildings around Mississippi, including vintage dollhouses, at the Museum of the Mississippi Delta.
December 5: Men’s Steak Night (6 PM)

December 6: Delta Band Festival and Christmas Parade (4 PM)
Celebrated for more than 80 years and begun by legendary Greenwood High School Band Director, Roy Martin, the Delta Band Festival/Christmas Parade in Greenwood boasts more than 25 high school and university bands from four states, an array of themed floats, decorative vehicles, mascots, beauties, and walking and performing groups.
December 13: Sisters of Hope Christmas Party for DCF (10 AM – 1 PM)
The Scott Sisters are organizing a program for women at DCF this Christmas. They would love the opportunity to come and share more about their initiatives and programs.
December 14: A Delta Dickens Christmas (10:30 AM)
A Victorian Christmas come to life! Characters, Carolers, Snow, Carriage Rides, Art, Story Time, Hot Cider & More!
December 15: Coat Drive (5 PM)
December 19: Buford Family Christmas (5:30 PM & 7:30 PM, Doors Open at 4 PM, Reserved Seating Not Available)
Join us for the 21st annual Buford Family Christmas Concert at The Alluvian Hotel. The Buford sisters – Lee, Pryor, Sarah, and Donna from Glendora – set the stage for a truly magical holiday.
December 22: Christmas Pageant at Nativity (5 – 6 PM)
Come and worship with us as we sing Christmas Carols, listen to our burgeoning youth choir, watch little angels spread out like a covey of quail, and listen as our young folks tell us the story that changed the course of history. The Episcopal Church Women will host a reception following the pageant.
December 31: New Years Eve (6 PM – 12 AM)
Get ready to ring in the new year in style at The Alluvian! Dress up in your holiday best and join us for our 2024 New Year’s Eve celebration. Your stay will include one-night accommodations, 2 party tickets, in-room champagne upon arrival and 2 souvenir champagne glasses. The celebration will feature live entertainment by Ben Shaw starting at 6 PM and the feature band, Style Band, from 9 PM to midnight in the Lobby Lounge, with a complimentary champagne toast at midnight.
