Don’t Miss This Year’s Greenwood Holiday Open House Thurs., Nov. 9
Happy Holidays from Greenwood, Mississippi!
The 2023 Greenwood, Mississippi holiday season will officially begin Thursday, November 9th with the Citywide Holiday Open House, a one-night-only event featuring everything from horse-drawn carriage rides to Santa sightings, fun giveaways and tasty treats found at just about any of our local shops. Our charming Southern town will transform into a festive winter wonderland filled with bright holiday lights and that Christmastime glow!
We recommend booking one of our iconic and beloved carriage rides to get your Frosty Festivities started. Carriage rides are $10 for adults and $5 for children, but the memories they create are priceless! The Carriage Ride Tent opens at 5:00 PM and is conveniently located on the corner of Washington and Howard. At the tent, reservations are first come, first serve and can be reserved for 5:30, 6:00, 6:30, 7:00 and 7:30 PM. Reservations MUST be prepaid, but from there, we invite you to stray out into Downtown Greenwood to take in the pulse of the holiday merriment at our local shops and eateries and then return to the tent five minutes before your reserved ride time.
The citywide Open House also includes a holiday market that overflows with unique and locally crafted goods from our very own townsfolk. We invite you to visit one of our many merchants to begin your holiday shopping.
