Located in Lexington on the eastern edge of the Delta, St. Paul is the first Church of God in Christ established. It is known as the "Mother Church" of COGIC World-Wide and still conducts weekly services. The founder and first pastor is Bishop Charles H. Mason. The Church of God in Christ has grown to be the third largest denomination in the world.
