Giveaway Terms and Conditions

1. SPONSOR

This giveaway (the “Promotion”) is sponsored by the Greenwood Convention and Visitors Bureau, located in downtown Greenwood, Mississippi (“Sponsor”). The Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with any third-party platform or social media network.

2. ELIGIBILITY

The Promotion is open to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees, officers, and directors of the Sponsor, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and their immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and household members are not eligible to enter or win. Void where prohibited by law.

3. PROMOTION PERIOD

The Promotion begins on the date entries are first accepted and ends at 11:59 PM Central Time on Monday, November 30, 2026 (“Entry Period”). Entries received after the Entry Period closes will not be eligible.

4. HOW TO ENTER

During the Entry Period, eligible participants may enter by following the instructions provided by the Sponsor. Limit one (1) entry per person. Multiple entries submitted by the same person will be disqualified. The Sponsor is not responsible for incomplete, lost, late, misdirected, or illegible entries.

5. DRAWING

One (1) winner will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received during the Entry Period. The drawing will be conducted on Tuesday, December 1, 2026 by a representative of the Sponsor, whose decisions are final and binding in all matters relating to this Promotion. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

6. PRIZE

a.  One (1) complimentary overnight stay for two (2) guests at the Alluvian Hotel, Greenwood, Mississippi (the “Prize”).

b.  The Prize includes one standard guest room for one (1) night, subject to availability. Specific room types, dates, and accommodations are subject to hotel availability and must be mutually agreed upon by the winner and the Sponsor.

c.  The Prize does not include travel, transportation, meals, incidentals, parking, room service, spa services, taxes, gratuities, or any other expenses not explicitly stated herein.

d.  The approximate retail value of the Prize is subject to change based on room type and dates selected. No cash equivalent or substitution of the Prize is permitted, except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor.

e.  The Prize is non-transferable and may not be sold or exchanged. The Prize has no cash value.

f.  Winner is solely responsible for all applicable taxes and any other costs not expressly included in the Prize.

7. WINNER NOTIFICATION

The potential winner will be notified by the Sponsor using the contact information provided at the time of entry. The potential winner must respond within seventy-two (72) hours of notification. Failure to respond within this timeframe may result in forfeiture of the Prize, and an alternate winner may be selected. The Sponsor reserves the right to verify eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules before awarding the Prize.

8. PRIZE REDEMPTION

The Prize must be redeemed within twelve (12) months of the drawing date (by December 1, 2027), subject to hotel availability. Blackout dates may apply, including but not limited to holidays and special events. The winner is responsible for contacting the Greenwood Convention and Visitors Bureau to arrange the stay. The Prize is subject to the hotel’s standard terms, conditions, and policies at the time of redemption.

9. RELEASE AND LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY

By participating in the Promotion, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor and its respective officers, directors, employees, agents, and representatives from any and all liability, loss, injury, or damage of any kind arising out of participation in the Promotion or acceptance or use of the Prize. The Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or other errors in the printing, offering, or announcement of the Prize.

10. PUBLICITY

Except where prohibited by law, by accepting the Prize, the winner grants the Sponsor permission to use the winner’s name, likeness, and general location for promotional and advertising purposes without additional compensation.

11. GENERAL CONDITIONS

a.  The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Promotion if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond the Sponsor’s reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Promotion.

b.  The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process or otherwise acts in violation of these Official Rules.

c.  Any attempt by a participant to deliberately damage any platform or website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Promotion may be a violation of criminal and civil laws.

d.  The Sponsor’s failure to enforce any provision of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.

12. DISPUTES

Except where prohibited, as a condition of participating in the Promotion, each participant agrees that: (1) any and all disputes and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Promotion, or any Prize awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred; and (3) under no circumstances will entrants be permitted to obtain awards for attorney’s fees. This Promotion shall be governed by the laws of the State of Mississippi, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules.

13. PRIVACY

Information collected from entrants is subject to the Sponsor’s privacy policy. Entry information will be used only for purposes related to the administration of this Promotion and will not be sold or shared with third parties except as required by law or as necessary to administer the Promotion.
