In the 1940's, there was a building housing WGRM radio station. The radio station featured gospel music on Sundays specifically one of the most famous groups, the Famous St. John's Gospel Singers of Inverness. That group included Riley King on guitar…later known as "B.B." Programming on WGRM was provided by Blue Network but was initially owned by NBC and after 1943 ABC.
